Analysing to find out the target audience.
Straight away by looking at the front cover of the magazine you can see it is aimed at the younger generation of adults/adults. My reason for this is because at the bottom of the front page you see listsings of what the magazine include. Some of these for example are Clubs and Nightlife. Teenagers/Children are too young to involve themselves in these examples. Same of which goes to the elderly. The overall layout of the front page is in a graffiti style print which again represents some of the ideal desings young adults are into.
RepresentationThe representation of the audience that the magazine gives is typically aimed at both genders. This is because throughout the magazine you see photos of both genders. You also see clothing advertisements which are for both male and female.
This magazine isnt aimed at a paticular race, it is an all round friendly magazine which seems to welcome any gender and any race.
As i said before, i think the age representation is young adults/adults as it involves features that young people wont understand/be able to get involved in e.g clubbing.
This magazine definitely holds an audience representation of clubbers. This is because throughout the magazine you get clubbing style, photos of young adults clubbing and having fun, and club listings. This magazine isnt portraying the representation of clubbers in a bad light, from this magazine i get the representation that clubbers are happy people who just enjoy going out, dancing and listening to music.

Stevie,
ReplyDeleteAgain, your system of posting entries on here makes it hard to follow. However, there are a couple of conclusions that I can draw:
- Your comments on both genders are lacking depth. What other elements might also have connections to gender? For example, what kind of language do they use, could this be described as masculine or feminine?
- Avoid comments on race. It seems like a non-issue here. Stick to the gender and target age for the publication (But try and add more depth on these)
